Observations of Asteroid Phase Dependences of Brightness and Polarization at Low Phase Angles
Photometric and polarimetric observations of asteroids at extremely small phase angles ( < 1 deg.) are carried out. The new approach is the measuring both magnitude and polarization phase dependences for the same asteroid. The main goal is to understand mechanisms responsible for backscattering phenomena of the atmosphereless bodies.
