Vakulik Victor G. - senior researcher.

47 years old, married, one child. Graduated from the Kharkov University in 1980, Physical Faculty, Department of Astronomy. The same year joined the staff of DIP of the Astronomical Observatory of KhNU. A specialist in numerical simulation, in elaboration algorithms of image processing. The author of 15 publications.

Contribution:

· synthesis of high-resolution colur images of Mars in opposition of 1992; the work was fulfilled in the framework of the ground-based support of a space mission to the red planet;

· processing the images of Jupiter during the Comet Shoemaker-Levy impact in July 1994, estimation of a degree of polarization of impact sites and determining the hights of debris clouds above the Jovian atmosphere from a pair of frames separated by a 40-min time interval.

· elaboration of the algorithms for photometric image processing of the Q2237+0305 gravitational lens system and other similar objects; the capital contribution into the results of Q2237+0305 photometry from observations of 1995 and 1997-98.

· numerical simulation of gravitational lensing phenomenon.

· restoration of high-resolution images of spacecrafts;
