DEPARTMENT OF IMAGE PROCESSING

PLANNED ACTIVITY

During the 1997-1999 observing campaigns great amount of the initial observational data on a number of GLS has been accumulated. By now, only a small fraction of the data has been processed providing a valuable photometric information about the changes happening in the most of GL systems. Among them, measurements of brightness and colour variations in the Q2237+0305 system are of a particular interest as they give a useful clue to understanding the processes of microlensing caused by the object populating the lensing galaxy. Photometric processing of the Q2237+0305 images will be continued, as well as a numerical simulation of the microlensing events. Processing of the images of other GLS will be also continued as well as obtaining the new observational data.
