IRIS.NE - scientific image processor with open architecture

In this version “chain procedures” ideology have been obtain further development. Such “chain procedures” made a good showing for processing of large observation data series. In order to simplify creation of such “chains” special plugin “IRIS.NE” for IRIS and several class libraries has been developed. Short descriptions for that libraries can be as follow:

  • TxSer– incapsulate procedures for manipulations with image series;

  • TxLog – logging of the processing;

  • TxStep – incapsulate procedures for chain steps building and for common control of the program;

In order to simplify GUI development and standardize it look special library (“xForms”) has been developed. Design of xForms library has been developed in the basis on facts, that several types of widgets (all of them are widgets for data input) will suffices developers in most cases, and simple layout for these widgets required.

Moreover, internal architecture of the module have been substantially redesigned. To do that, classes Matrix and TxP_Matr have been developed. Class Matrix is a successor of the class TFITS from IRIS system. This class is a container for processing data. The second one (TxP_Matr) with his successors provides processing subroutines for single Matrix processing.

Tens of new modules and hundreds of new procedure and functions for data processing have been developed in 2001-2003.

Common standards for chain procedures have been developed that allows several developers works independently and efficiently.
