| In 1977 | graduated from the Physics Department of the A. M. Gorky Kharkov State University and was directed to the Nikolaev Astronomical Observatory |
| In 1977-1995 | worked in the Nikolaev Astronomical Observatory and climbed a career ladder from intern researcher to Senior researcer |
| Since 1981 | was one of team leaders in the Mountain Astronomical Station which is located near Kislovodsk. Under his leadership the Struve-Ertel meridian tool was installed. Using this instrument day-time observtions of the Sun, Venus and Mercury were carried out from 1981 to 1991 years. |
| In 1986 | defended PhD thesis on the topic "A lateral refraction in daytime observations" in the Pulkovo Observatory |
| Since 1995 | works at the University as Senior Researcher, acting head of department, head of department, head of the laboratory of the Institute of astronomy |
| Since 2003 | teaches a cours on astrometry for students of the Astronomy Department |
