X. Research summary
– | Photometrical observations were carried out and the magnitude-phase relations have been obtained for different type asteroids in range of opposition effect down to the extremely small phase angles < 1 deg (Shevchenko et al. 1996, 1997, 2002, 2008, 2012, 2016; Belskaya et al. 2003, 2010; Rosenbush et al. 2005, 2009, and others). |
_ | Some dark asteroids without opposition brightening in magnitude-phase relations were discovered (Shevchenko et al. 1996, 2008, 2012, 2016.) |
– | Albedos for several tens of asteroids were determined using diameters obtained from stellar occultations (Shevchenko, Tedesco 2006; Shevchenko et al. 2014). They were used for calibrating albedos obtained by indirect methods. |
– | The nonlinear dependence of amplitude of opposition effect on albedo has first been discovered for asteroids, which is explained through the two mechanisms of the forming of the opposition effect: the coherent backscatter and the shadow hiding (Belskaya, Shevchenko 2000). |
– | The photometric model of asteroid have been developed, which was used for investigation of the brightness distribution law over the asteroid disk (Akimov, Lupishko, Shevchenko 1992), for investigation of an influence of the brightness distribution low on asteroid photocentre displacement (Lupishko, Shevchenko, Tungalag, 2002), and for determination of the spin vectors of asteroids (Shevchenko et al. 2003, 2009; and others). |
– | The phase function for approximation of asteroid magnitude-phase dependences have been proposed and a strong linear correlation (the coefficient of correlation is equal to 0.93) between the slopes of magnitude-phase dependences and the logarithm of albedo was detected that can be used for determination of asteroid albedo (Shevchenko 1997; Belskaya, Shevchenko, 2000). |
– | The some asteroids (4 Vesta, 21 Lutetia, 433 Eros, 1620 Geographos, 2067 Steins, and 4179 Toutatis) were observed for support of space missions (Velichko et al. 1988; Lupishko et al. 1987; Belskaya et al 2010; Krugly, Shevchenko 1999; Magnusson et al. 1995; Dotto et al. 2009; Spencer et al. 1995). |
_ | The several variable stars, belonged to different variable subtype were discovered (Shevchenko 2004, Shevchenko et al. 2013, Zheleznyak et al., 2015). |
_ | Detected satellites for several asteroids (Pravec et al., 2000; Krugly et al., 2007; and others). |
